Jonas Kaufmann cancela su gira por EEUU por enfermedad 

Con el comunicado que reproducimos a continuación, el tenor alemán Jonas Kaufmann informaba ayer de la cancelación de su gira por EEUU, incluyendo no sólo las funciones de Manon Lescaut en el Met sino también ss recitales en el Carnegie Hall de Nueva York y en Santa Mónica:

Dear Friends,

I am very sorry that I was obliged to cancel my appearances in the States in this period, which included the performances of “Manon Lescaut” at the Met as well as the recitals at Carnegie Hall and in Santa Monica. I was so much looking forward to sing in the States again, but as you know, illness forced me to withdraw. I deeply regret that any of you feel left down and I can very well understand that all those who have gone to great expense for traveling and tickets are very disappointed. Please do know that I am extremely disappointed as well to have to forego the pleasure and privilege to sing for you. Only illness would prevent me from coming to you. I am very grateful to all of you and especially appreciate all your messages, so full of empathy, loyalty and support. I appreciate that enormously, and thank you all very much! I hope to be back on stage singing for you very soon.
