La Staatsoper de Hamburgo indemniza a la soprano Julie Fuchs, en compensación por su despido cuando estaba embarazada
Tal y como la propia afectada ha comunicado en redes sociales, la Staatsoper de Hamburgo tendrá que indemnizar a la soprano Julie Fuchs como resultado de un acuerdo entre ambas partes que pone fin al litigio que se inicio al prescindir de ella el teatro, al saber que se encontraba embarazada. Los hechos tuvieron lugar en abril de 2018, cuando Fuchs iba a cantar la parte de Pamina en una producción de La flauta mágica de Mozart. Como compensación por lo sucedido, y tras un proceso de arbitraje en la Corte de Hamburgo, la soprano va a recibir su caché íntegro, la misma cantidad que hubiera percibido en caso de haber cantado esas funciones.

The conclusion of the pregnant Pamina story:
Hamburg State Opera and I have reached an agreement regarding the conditions of the termination of my guest contract for the role of Pamina in ‘Die Zauberflöte’ in May 2018. One year on, I am happy to announce that following proceedings at the Stage Arbitration Court in Hamburg, I have received my full agreed fee as compensation for the short-term cancellation of my employment in the production. As some of you may remember, apart from my initial announcement, I have gone to great lengths not to talk about this matter publicly. Now that the agreement has been reached, I’m proud to have stood up for what is right, and I hope this incident and the ruling will help set a good example for other pregnant women and other opera houses.
