La directora estadounidense Marin Alsop (Nueva York, 1956) ha sido designada nueva batuta titular de la ORF Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra, a partir del 1 septiembre de 2019. Actualmente Alsop es la directora titular de la Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, posición que tiene previsto ostentar hasta 2021.
