Sebastian Schwartz dimite como director del Festival de Glyndebourne
Con el siguiente comunicado, manifestando abiertamente su desencuentro con el modelo de gestión de la institución, Sebastian Schwartz comunicaba ayer su dimisión al frente del Festival de Glyndebourne:
"In my first encounter with a privately funded company I have come to appreciate Glyndebourne’s unique and complex business model on which its success and survival are dependent and for which the General Director is responsible, alongside providing the artistic strategy. While planning the seasons up to 2021, I have realised that I feel most at home in a position which allows me to concentrate more fully on creating and executing the artistic vision of an organisation"
La dimisión tiene efecto inmediato y pone fin a su vinculación con Glyndebourne, donde se había incorporado en mayo de 2016 sustituyendo a David Pickard y procedente del Theater an der Wien de la capital austríaca, durante trabajó durante casi una década.
